I was so lucky to wander around the Bear Paw Mountains south of Havre, MT with Haley and Tanner to capture their engagement!  Haley and Tanner are one of those totally just meant-to-be couples.  I remember when I first learned they were dating and thinking that they were such a perfect match!  Funny little story: a week before Kris proposed to me, we were at a friend’s house for a game night and Haley and Tanner were there.  Someone said something about getting engaged which lead to me making fun of Kris and what do you know, we were engaged shortly after!  Haley and I laugh about that memory still!  Not too long after, I saw that Haley and Tanner were engaged, I literally jumped for joy for them!  Needless to say, 2019 was a pretty awesome year for both of us!

On the way out, Haley told me how Tanner proposed: the morning she flew out from Hawaii, they took an early morning ferry to a beautiful spot and Tanner popped the question!  Haley laughed and was truly glowing as she told the story!  Tanner was his usual calm, happy self, and I have always appreciated that about him!  In fact, Haley commented on how that was one of the things she loves most about Tanner; how he helps her slow down and realize that life doesn’t have to rush by!  Spending this time watching them communicate really solidified that these two complement each other perfectly!

We were fortunate to use the property of Tanner’s friends for photos.  A little creek, fall colors, big, tall trees (as requested by Haley!), their three dogs, and Haley & Tanner together made the most perfect evening!  Tanner even piggy-backed Haley across the creek at one point!  What a guy!  As we drove into town, we came over a big hill to the most insane sunset you’ve ever seen.  Haley excitedly asked if we could stop and grab pictures there, which of course we did!  These ended up being some of my favorite pictures from the night, especially because Haley absolutely adores sunsets!

Haley and Tanner, your love is such an inspiration to so many!  The connection you have is undeniable and I am honored to be able to capture it for you!  July 25, 2020 is going to be the best day ever! (And the perfect way to begin my birthday weekend ;))  I AM OVER THE MOON FOR YOU TWO!!!
