Lindsey and Quintin Kallenberger | September 12th, 2020 | Havre, Montana
Oh how wonderful a day it was! I always feel a little fancy when I fly in for a wedding, and flying into Montana for Lindsey and Quintin’s wedding was no different. There were many things about their day that I loved, but overall it was the feeling of relaxed love that I admired the most. These two had to do major cutbacks in their guest list and many other changes due to COVID-19, but you wouldn’t have known the stressors if you were there with them. Lindsey was one of the most calm, laid back brides I have ever worked with in the 9 years I have been a wedding photographer. As I rode with Quintin out to the Bears Paw Mountains for their intimate first look, I had asked him how he was feeling. He told me he wasn’t nervous, just really excited and I had assured him that Lindsey looked absolutely amazing. With that he replied, “I figured” with a big grin on his face.
Lindsey and Quintin are high school sweethearts who have navigated life together for many years. I always say weddings are a start of your legacy, but in this case I think their legacy started all those years back in the Havre High hallways. All of those moments led them to stand in St. Judes Catholic Church and vow to each other. Every moment from here on out is just making their legacy that much better. It’s creating their legacy to tell their grandkids, “We are high school sweethearts, who were married in a pandemic” (haha!).
I loved about their wedding was how family focused it was. Being able to have your sister and your “cousin” stand by your side and your family fill the pews at the church is super important and is a testament to the kind of families Lindsey and Quintin were raised in. We did big family photos at the reception and they were big – with the notion of knowing they would have been triple the size had COVID not been a thing.
Some sweet moments I wanted to share from their wedding day: Lindsey’s mom, Lisa, had a handwritten tag made for Lindsey’s bouquet in her grandfather’s handwriting. He passed away six months before her wedding day and this sweet gesture kept him close to Lindsey at all times. The ring box that was used to bring their wedding rings down the aisle, Quintin used once when he was a ring bearer! The reception decor was very personalized – including the table “sparkles” that said Kallenberger! At every Kudrna wedding, there is homemade alcohol. I had a shot of the root beer one and boy, that stuff is dangerous – it is delicious!!!
I hope you enjoy scrolling through this beautiful day. I feel so very honored to have been there to document their day (especially since I was the one to photograph Lindsey’s senior pictures too)! Congratulations Lindsey and Quintin!! You know how much I loved your wedding & I hope you adore your photos!!
