Aubrea and Ned Malone | August 14, 2021 | Montana Style Events
It feels good to drive up to Montana Style Events in Havre knowing you have photographed there many times, the bridal party is going to be fun, the couple is so in love and that the day is going to unravel beautifully. Aubrea and Ned have been together since their junior year of high school. When I asked them at what point did they know they were going to be together forever, they decided it was about their sophomore year of college. It was really fun getting to see them talk about their relationship, to have them reflect on where they started and how far they have come individually and together.
Saturday was a day that was long awaited for them both. The buzz and energy of the day was contagious. The boys were gathered in the men’s cabin, laughing about the heat and deciding the best way to attach their button studs. After a shot of crown and a lot of hyping Ned up, he was ready. Down the hill the girls were basking in the only air conditioned room. As Aubrea’s sister, and maid-of-honor, Claire speedily (like the fastest I have ever seen!!) buttoned up Aubrea’s dress, her friends ooo’d and ahh’d at how gorgeous she looked.
Aubrea opted to do a first look with her dad, which was touching and made me tear up. Tim was overwhelmed by the day and his gorgeous eldest daughter. Moments later, I walked with Ned down to do their first look. I said, “She looks amazing” and Ned replied, “I have no doubt. I cannot wait to see her” with a big smile on his face. The rest of portraits happened as you can imagine if you know Aubrea and Ned at all. Laid back laughter and the purest of love that just effortlessly flowed out of them.
Their ceremony was a perfect mix of joy and frog-in-your-throat touching. When they were announced Mr and Mrs Malone, bubbles flowed and the crowd erupted in cheers. One of the moments that really stuck out to me was during the daddy/daughter dance. With about a minute left of the emotional dance between Aubrea and her dad, Tim waved over Ned. He handed Aubrea’s hand to Ned and walked off the dance floor in tears. He watched the rest of the dance with so much love in his eyes. As a mom to littles, moments like that always hit home the hardest. What a big moment in not only Aubrea and Ned’s life, but all parents and family involved. I think that is why I love weddings so much. It is such a beautiful way to celebrate people you love and support and want to see succeed. Two of the most deserving of that exact support and love are Aubrea and Ned Malone. Yell it from the rooftops (or field) – you’re married, your forever has started! The best adventure yet. Congratulations!
