Kim and Kyle Poore | November 2nd, 2019
November 2, 2019 will be a day and a wedding that I will never forget! Holly and I were fortunate to travel to gorgeous Rollins, Montana for Kim and Kyle’s lakeside wedding. Their day began at the Flathead Lake United Methodist Camp – seriously, their wedding was held at a SUMMER CAMP!!! (Slightly obsessed!) The cool weather made for the perfect fall wedding, and the trees surrounding them were all gorgeous and full of color!
Kim is such a peaceful presence and this day was no different; she got ready surrounded by lifelong friends and relatives who loved her so much! We began pictures with perfectly planned out details and smiles all around. When I first saw Kyle, he was anxious, but told me “I think I’ll feel better as soon as I see Kim!” He looked so very handsome and I knew without a doubt that this was truly the best day of his life!
As Kim pieced together her final touches and was buttoned into her dress by her beautiful mom, she could not have been more radiant! She was absolutely glowing. As we waited for her groom to meet us at her Nanny’s house across the lake for their first look, Kim said “All I’m excited for is to marry Kyle – everything else is just icing” and I think that perfectly summed up their day. Their first look was one that I’ll never forget. Kyle turned around to see his gorgeous bride, tears of happiness welling up in his eyes, and Kim’s voice broke with excitement as she called out “honey!” Their embrace said it all – these two are truly meant to be.
Their lakeside wedding was backdropped by mountains and the camp’s cross made of tree branches. The chilly wind didn’t seem nearly as chilly as their officiant delivered a hilarious, heartwarming, and touching ceremony. Their personalized vows and friend who provided beautiful music rounded out an already stunning ceremony! Their first kiss was met with a HUGE cheer from the crowd and the excitement surrounding them was palpable!
We finished the night with a delicious fajita bar, perfectly planned out decorations, and a custom seating arrangement made by the bride; books covered in paper, retitled with places they’d traveled together! Two heartfelt speeches from the best man and maid of honor, a beautiful tribute by the Mother of the Bride, and a Father of the Bride speech that will always stick with me. Those were just a few of the timeless memories from the night. Shortly after the cake was cut, Kim’s sister and brothers busted out a surprise dance they made up for the Bride and Groom! As the Mother of the Bride entered the dance floor, and soon the Father of the Bride, it was obvious how much love flowed between these families!
Truly, a day I will never forget. Kim and Kyle, it was an absolute honor to have a small part in your perfect day. I cannot wait to see where your marriage takes you! I hope your mini-moon to Kootenai Falls (the same place Kris and I took our engagement photos!!!) was AMAZING!!!
Love & Hugs,
Bri
