Chelsea and Dylon Bowman | December 7th, 2019
The warm Tennessee sun broke through the clouds early on Saturday morning, warming the crisp winter air. Picture the bride surrounded by her nine best friends, laughing and getting glam while the groom and his friends are out grabbing food before coming back to prepare for the big day. There is an intense feeling of happiness in the area and everyone is giddy with excitement.
I first talked to Chelsea when she messaged me letting me know her boyfriend was going to propose and she would like to book me for her engagement photos! Sure enough, that night Dylon proposed, she said yes and about 5 days later we were frolicking in a field near Fort Bragg capturing their love for the first time. It is a great honor to photograph anyone’s wedding, but it felt especially special to be asked to photograph theirs because they asked me after we did their engagement session. Then not only did I gain two amazing clients, but I gained to friends too. We went shopping, ate ice cream, swam at their pool, & I even helped Chelsea address her invitations! I am very thankful for their friendship and their support.
So as you can imagine, I already loved Chelsea and Dylon, but after their wedding they have become top 10 of my favorite people. It was very evident how GOOD they are and how GIVING they are from their wedding day. Their friends and family were bursting with joy for these two within every moment and every step of the wedding day process. They laughed and cried with them through Chelsea and Dylon’s amazing self written vows and they all danced their booties off on their dance floor. Their bridal party was extraordinary! Dylon’s co-best men planned a “fake” first look with Dylon and them. They dressed up in tiny white dresses and heels and had us all rolling with laughter! It was just the thing Dylon needed! Chelsea has the greatest team of cheerleaders in her squad. Throughout the day you could hear them tell her how amazing she looked (she was a goddess) and during the reception there was always a friend nearby shouting “you go, sis!” or shaking their thing right with her. I also must add that you HAVE to scroll to the bottom of this blog post to see some still images of Dylon’s amazing dance moves. THAT MAN CAN DANCE! I have never, in eight years of photography, seen a groom get down like Dylon did. The man did booty shakin’ push-ups! I tell you, amazing!
Saturday December 7th, 2019 was a fantastic day, but if you know Chelsea and Dylon at all you would know that even if you weren’t in attendance. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bowman, it was an absolute PLEASURE to come to Tennessee and celebrate with you both!
