Tande and Travis Myers | 12/11/2021 | Havre, Montana

Saturday was one of those weddings that you just knew was going to go off without a hitch. Even with the bone chilling Montana snow and wind whipping through the north central plains, it was a gorgeous day. 

Tande, who I might refer to as one of my most laid back brides ever, was laughing her way through the morning with her Mom, Grandma and friends. Travis was sharing a beer with his buds just counting down the moments until it was see-the-bride time! As we got Tande into her dress at the Best Western Great Northern Inn Suites, there was just a cool sense about her that I can’t explain other than that she was relaxed. She knew what she was doing was the best thing she will do and it was felt by everyone in the room. Wearing her grandmother’s ring, a six pence in her shoe, borrowed jewelry from her mama – she was set! 

After a first look with her dad & Travis we headed over to the Hill County 4H Chuckwagon where she did a first look with her Uncle Kip (who officiated their wedding) and her flower girls (just wait until you see them) – she was ready for her dad to take her down the aisle. Uncle Kip did a phenomenal job at officiating their wedding. He wrote a poem that was quintessential. It was a quick vow exchange, ring exchange, kiss and bam – Mr and Mrs Travis Myers was announced to their private ceremony. Cheers went up and everyone relaxed.

Benefits of having a private ceremony before your reception is you get to build how much time you have in between. Both Tande and Travis wanted a little down time before the reception which made driving out to the Myers Ranch south of town perfect. We also got to dip down into the coulee where we were away from the wind…a little. I complained a lot about the cold Montana wind as it took out breath away (literally), but you know who never once complained? Tande or Travis. They were just wrapped up in their love and each other that 1. They didn’t notice 2. They noticed and didn’t want it to ruin their moment. Either way – they should receive an award for MVP of their wedding day.

The reception was a party – as most are when you have the Plowed Under Band there getting everyone to their feet dancing! It is always so fun to see them as we had them at our wedding too and so dancing just come easily as they play! After scrumptious cupcakes and tons of mint candies from Tande’s childhood we were off to dancing their first dance. For a guy who claims he “Doesn’t dance” – he sure did a hell of a job for Tande. Then a dance with her dad and a dance with his aunt and the dance floor was open to all!

We closed out the night having some fun with props that Richie Melby Media brought along – blue smoke bombs in negative temperatures = a whole lot of fun!

Tande and Travis, this is just the beginning. I am so excited to get these back to you and have you celebrate your first Christmas as Mr and Mrs Myers!!!! Hugs!
